Move An Object To The Front (Word)

When you create a drawing in Word, you will be working with more than one object. This means that one object may be placed on top of another object. When you begin using multiple objects that overlap, some may end up being hidden behind larger objects. To solve this problem, Word allows you to move an object in front or behind of another one.

To bring an object to the front:

  1. Click the object that you want to move.

  2. On the Drawing toolbar, point to Order and click Bring to Front.

Note: If the Drawing toolbar is not visible, click the View menu, point to Toolbars, and click Drawing.

Conversely, if you want to move another object so it is behind another one, complete the steps listed above, only this time, select Send to Back.
