In another blunder, nothing new for this area of the government, the FCC has stricken down the Whitespace Coalition’s proposals for interchannel, intraband propagation of internet in the television frequencies.
The excuse given is that interference would result, which is reported as in conflict with the studies put forth by the Coalition.
This comes on the heels of the FCC rejection of the Google advice on sale and treatment of the bandwidth freed by the forced move to digital transmission of terrestrial commercial television.
