Big Brown made the win look easy. He made the Preakness win a run-away. In the video, he is the ‘seven horse’ and, coming around the last turn, he is allowed to stretch out and really run. The race is remarkable for this horse. He ran on the outside around the clubhouse turn. Even though Big Brown ran a longer distance on the outside, when the jockey, Kent Desormeaux, asked the horse for more run, the rest of the field was left behind. It seems that throughout the race, Big Brown was held back and made to wait. He just had so much left in the home stretch. Watch when Kent Desormeaux lets him run at the top of the home stretch:

Big Brown has a chance at history and the Triple Crown on June 7, 2008. It’s the Belmont and he will be the horse to beat.
