If you have a bunch of Microsoft Word documents open and you want to shut down, it can feel like forever as you click on each Word document, save your document, and gradually close each window. There is a faster way to close all open Microsoft Word files.
Here is a quick tip that lets you save or close all open Word documents at once. Hold down the SHIFT key when selecting the File menu. Two additional menu options appear: Save All and Close All. By selecting one of these options, Word will either save all your open files or close them.
