Get Quick Access To The Autoformat Command By Adding It To The Quick Access Toolbar

The AutoFormat command is a lifesaver and a timesaver (particularly when you receive a document that is poorly formatted)! Unfortunately, the AutoFormat command isn’t at your finger tips. In Word 2007, the AutoFormat command is not on the Ribbon. However, you can easily it to the Quick Access Toolbar, which is directly above the Ribbon.

To add the AutoFormat comment to the Quick Access toolbar:

  1. Click the down arrow at the right-hand end of the Quick Access Toolbar.
  2. Click More Commands.
  3. In the dropdown menu under “Choose commands from,” select Commands Not In the Ribbon.
  4. From the list that appears, click AutoFormat and click Add button.
  5. Click OK.
