Alright! A beta Linux distro that has a real shot at competing with the big boys in the server world, SuSE and Red Hat. UserLinux is designed to provide businesses with a truly viable, dependable alternative to Red Hat and SuSE. Support for this distribution will be maintained by currently unnamed, independent vendors.
The interesting thing is that the Linux community has been pretty “cool” about this entire development. I wonder if is because of all the hype with big named Linux distributors or if all of the interest is beginning to shift more toward the challenge of getting desktop Linux to become ultra-mainstream.
