Do you have a lot of photos on your computer of family and friends that you’d like to look at all the time? Maybe you took a lot of holiday photos you enjoyed. Maybe a birthday has just gone by. Well, I have a freeware program that will toss them all together onto your desktop.
Here is what the authors of the program have to say about Photo Stacker:
The guys at Krrrk.com wanted an easy way to take random pictures and generate a unique desktop wallpaper. It actually evolved from our obsession with CD album art (CD Stacker came well before) but our friends didn’t have many mp3s so their wallpaper sucked. As a way to keep the peace, we made it work with their digital photos instead – something everyone seems to have tons of.
Once you get the program up and running, using it couldn’t be more simple. You decide how many photos you want on your desktop and what size they are. Then the program tosses them up, and you can regenerate it till you get the assortment that looks best to you.
This program is really neat, I must say. At first, I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy it, but after playing with it for a while, I think I am hooked. There’s also a version that displays album covers as well. Give it a shot, and let me know what you think.
