Music has a way of seeping into our brains, and before you know it, you’ll catch yourself humming the tune to that catchy song that you keep hearing on the radio. Now, while the tune may have been retained in your noggin, the title and artist of the song were probably forgotten. This happens very frequently, and it’s frustrating when you can’t figure out what you’ve been humming all of this time. Well, never fear, The Song Tapper is here.
This site essentially allows you to hum the rhythm of the tune to it, and it’ll then help you to find out what the actual song is. It does this by asking you to tap the rhythm of the song on your space bar while you hum it. The key is to tap the space bar for each syllable that you sing/hum. It may seem like this wouldn’t work very well, but I tried it a few times with some popular songs, and it picked them up perfectly once it was through analyzing the data. Several songs are sure to match the rhythm that you’ve indicated, and I found this to be the case. Picking the right one out is easy enough once you view the lyrics. Thousands of songs are in the database, but if you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to teach the system a new tune.
