What can we say, it’s a growth market over there in China. and with that growth, we expect to see much more expansion in the mobile sector, too.
China Mobile (Hong Kong) Ltd. said Tuesday it expected to maintain its strong growth in subscriber additions in the world’s biggest mobile market to continue, as it explores spreading its wings overseas.
Chairman and chief executive Wang Jianzhou said his company, Asia’s most valuable telecom company, had 42 million net subscriber additions during 2005, with the average pace of net monthly additions rising to 3.9 million during the last quarter.
“We think we can keep this growth in the future,” he said.
Wang said although his company, in which Vodafone has a 3.27 percent stake, still had a large amount of room for growth on the mainland, it would exploit its strength to expand overseas. [Read the rest]
