During the course of the past few days I have discovered something interesting. The simpler software is to use, the more likely it is to have stability issues. And in case any of you are wondering, I am not speaking of any one application in general. No, instead I have opted to make this a very general observation.
Over the years, I have stumbled upon a number of amazing applications that allow you to do things that would normally take a person hours to accomplish. And as luck would have it, a number of us find ourselves feeling the joy of losing most of your work if we don’t think to save our current project frequently. It’s a tough trade off, but developers know that people like me will put up with it. Seriously, it is sort of like only having access to one broadband ISP. Even if they are down a lot, what can any of us really do about it? Nothing, that’s what. If you want what they provide, you pretty much have to bite the bullet.
Am I alone on this? Can you think of software that is not only invaluable to you, but also happens to be a real pain in the butt when it comes to stability? Hey, I’d love to hear about it. Who know, maybe we have even had the same experiences with the same programs? Anything is possible, you know…
