Makers, SplashData, of Palm software such as SplashWallet and SplashShopper has sold off in two parts. Retaining most of SplashData, all the software, save one, will stay under the brand name of SplashData. However, the new SplashBlog, a software program that allows you to send photos from your Palm, Windows Mobile, and Symbian smartphones to a web site much like TextAmerica, was sold to another buyer.

six apart picked up SplashBlog while Salexo, a software vendor with mainly poker and entertainment games in its portfolio, grabbed the rest of SplashData.

Terms of the deal were not revealed and Salexo has no immediate plans to change the name of SplashData. Most of the employees of SplashData have remained and development of its full range of excellent productivity programs should continue to be developed.
