Staying in touch with all of your contacts can sometimes be a little overwhelming. It’s nice to have friends, but keeping up with them may be a challenge from time to time. Sure, sending e-mail’s to one another can help to cure the communication disease, but as convenient as they are, they’re not exactly the most personal way to contact one another. On certain occasions, it’s nice to actually hear someone’s voice, and instead of picking up the phone to make a call, you could just yack away with YackPack.

YackPack is a Web based voice messaging tool for groups. You can create a group for your family, company, or any other collection of individuals that you desire. When you login to your group, you’ll see all of the people that are a part of your specific community. If anyone has left a message for you, you’ll see an indication of that under their avatar, and you can easily listen to what they have to say. When you want to send a voice message out, all you have to do is select the people that you want to receive it, record it through the YackPack interface, and then send it out to your recipients. What’s nice about this is that your group members (including you) can respond whenever they have a chance, and aren’t forced to reply immediately as is normal in a regular conversation. It’s like e-mail without the text.
