Customizing your personal computer should be your right. Thankfully, there are plenty of tools out there to help us get this done. You might have heard of the Tweak UI or other tools, but have you heard of Folder2MyPC? If you have not before, then you are now. Folder2MyPC allows you to put folders and icons in places you couldn’t before.

Where are these places? Folder2MyPC allows you to add things into your My Computer window and the Control Panel in Windows. Here is what the developer has to say about it:

Folder2MyPC allows you to add, change, or removal of any folder and programs in a folder “My Computer” and “Control panel”. A choice of type of a created shortcut: the Explorer opened in the same window or in new. You also get an opportunity of a choice of an alternative icon for a folder.

It is possible to create folders both for the current user and for all users in system. Also program loading for display of new folders, after creation of necessary folders is not required.

As you can see from the screenshot, this allows you to add all kinds of helpful tools to both of these very important places. You could hide your recycle bin on the desktop and have a shortcut to it in your control panel. You could add a link to your documents in your control panel. The choice is yours.

This freeware program is a must have for anybody who wants a more customized Windows experience.
