You would not think that there might be a new way to navigate through a single Web page. You go up, you go down. That is pretty much it, right? Well, with the DragToScroll Firefox extension, you have one more way to manage your Web page navigation.

What to know more? This is what the developer of this extension has to say.

How many times has this happened to you: You’re at an Internet forum where the text box is at the bottom of the page. You want to quote someone else’s text that is at the top of the page. You can choose to copy and paste it, but then that is too much work. And what if you already have something else on your clipboard?

Well, with this extension, you can now select the text you want to quote and then drag and drop it into the text box at the bottom of the page. As soon as the drag pointer reaches the edge of the window, the page will begin to scroll automatically depending on which edge you are pointing to. Then when the text box scrolls into view, simply drop the text into the text box.

Now this is not just browing for the people who are too lazy to scroll up and down. This adds a real functionality that I did not think of till I used the extension for myself.

This Firefox extension is for versions 1.0 and up of the browser. If you want to download it and try it out for yourself, you can do so at the Mozilla Update Web site.
