Renaming a large series of files or folders can be a really big pain. Nobody I know has the time to waste clicking “rename” on each file, and then typing in the new label. Well, say goodbye to wasted time and hello to the Rename Master. This freeware program makes renaming files easy as pie.

Here is what the developers of Rename Master have to say about it:

Rename Master is a free utility for renaming large groups of files with a few clicks. Anyone that has worked with Web sites, file archives, or collections of music, videos, or pictures has probably spent way too much time renaming hundreds of files.

This utility will add, remove, or replace parts of the filename with ease and also supports renaming via file properties, MP3 tags, JPEG, JFIF, and EXIF tags.

So the question is, is it really the master of its domain? I would have to say it is. Rename Master does an excellent job at a very easy task. A very easy task that not many of us want to do.
