Text boundaries are dotted lines around the page margins, text columns, and objects. The text boundaries are usually hidden in Word so they are not visible to you. However, you can configure Word to display the text boundaries so you can see the exact layout of your document.
To configure Word to display text boundaries:
- From the View menu, click Print Layout.
- From the Tools menu, click Options.
- Select the View tab.
- Under the Print a Web Layout options section, place a check beside Text boundaries.
- Click OK.
When you return to your document, the text boundaries will be visible. To hide the text boundaries again, repeat the steps listed above only this time you will remove the check beside the Text boundaries option.
