If you need to change the style of numbered lists throughout a presentation, the easiest way is to change the style on the slide master(s). Remember that the slide master stores design information that is applied to the slides in the presentation. Making the change once to a slide master will be reflected on every slide that uses that design template.

To change the style of numbered lists on a slide master:

  1. Within PowerPoint, click the View menu, point to Master and click Slide Master.
  2. Select the placeholder for the numbered list that you want to alter the style for.
  3. Click Bullets and Numbering from the Format menu.
  4. Select the Numbered tab.
  5. Select one of the available styles.
  6. Use the arrow beside the Size box to increase or decrease the number size.
  7. Use the arrow beside the color field to change the color of the numbers.
  8. Click OK to save your changes.
  9. Click the Close Master View option.

The changes will be reflected on all slides that use the slide master you changed the style on.
