The Weather Underground Site, in my opinion (which, some of you have cause to know, is often not very humble), is the best weather site on the Web. I know there are a zillion others, and you probably have your favorite, but WUnderground.com is mine.
So, I was happy to learn that I could give you a year’s subscription, which gets rid of all the ads and makes it ever so much more pleasant to peruse. Not only that, I can give you this magnificent gift, worth a whopping five dollars, without it costing me a penny. How resist, pray? (Someone tells me it went up to $10… an even bigger deal, if you could have gotten it.)
Unfortunately, it turns out that WUnderground.com prefers to limit the number of memberships on a given code, and a number of Gnomies got shut out. My apologies to those who didn’t get to the site in time. I did, however, appreciate all the gracious remarks. It’s gratifying to know that our children are still being taught good manners. The one about writing checks is especially telling – classy guy!
