I don’t know very much about my family tree and heritage, and it seems like a lot of people are in this same situation with me. Ancient ancestors aren’t exactly discussed around the dinner table when my family gets together, and unless some of your relatives have extensive records or have done the research work to compile all of this family history, then you probably don’t know very much about where you came from generations ago. This is a shame, because it would be nice to know where you came from in order to learn a little bit more about who you are. MyHeritage encourages you to take the time to build out your family tree.

This site is all about family both past and present, and interested users can create their own family Web site in addition to their own 3D family tree. As you would expect, tools are available for genealogy research, and who knows, you just might find what you’re looking for. Another feature of MyHeritage that can’t be denied is the Face Recognition demo. All you have to do is upload a picture of your face, and the site will then search for your celebrity look-alikes. If nothing else, it’s good for a laugh. Apparently MyHeritage thinks I’m a mix of Patrick Swayze, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Carson Daly. I’m scared.
