Well Dell’s new IdeaStorm site really must be doing one heck of a lot of business, because it was at overload last night. And what are some of the suggestions that keep coming up?
Well there is a group of customers that would like to see Dell selling their PC’s with Linux and Open Office pre-installed on the box. And also a suggestion that Open Office be used on Window systems as well. And there were some suggestions that Dell eliminate all of the JUNK that gets included on a new system. To which it was asked if consumers would pay an extra $50 for a PC without the gunk? Most said no. Maybe $20.
And there are some other things that have been posted, but the Dell IdeaStorm site is now down and has been since last night.
OH BOY! Another rumor. Dell closes consumer site to their users!! LOL
Or maybe the Dell servers couldn’t handle all of the complaints. 😉
If and when the site comes back up, I’ll see what else there is to report.
They are backup and running. Other requests being made are, no preinstalled Operating System [this one I like], Firefox as the default browser, a Linux laptop, more RAM – 512MB doesn’t cut it anymore, no overseas tech. support, and much more.
Here is the link to all of the requests located here.
