There are several ways that you can paste the contents of the clipboard into your Word document. You can use the Paste command from the Edit menu. You can right click within your document and choose Paste from the context men. Alternatively, you can also use the CTRL + V keystrokes.

If you prefer using the keyboard to perform tasks and actions, there is a fourth method that you should consider for pasting clipboard contents. You can configure Word to use the Insert key for the paste function. Once you copy the contents to the clipboard, all you have to do is place the cursor in the correct location and press the Insert key.

To configure Word to use the Insert key for pasting:

  1. Within Word, click Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Edit tab.
  3. Select the box beside the Use the INS key for paste option.
  4. Click OK.
