Another day and it’s another Windows Exploit… Trojan.Kardphisher very cleverly appears to look just like Windows activation screens and claims to be a privacy check for Windows.

When run it will prompt you to enter your personal information and a credit card number, even your ATM pin number!

This trojan demonstrates how careful you have to be and why you should never give away all the information that something like this asks for. Nothing should ever ask you for your ATM pin except an ATM or debit terminal at a grocery store. Questions like these should set off that little warning voice in the back of your head and you need to stop for a second and listen to it. Take a deep breath and investigate if the request is legitimate or not. If you have any doubts, definitely don’t give out your info.
