Well this is one less spammer to contend with. But I have to ask, how does taking this guy down actually stop spam from boxes already infected with the malicious code? Still, it does mean that he will be greatly inhibited with regard to new attacks in the near future. Not only that, but for the first time, we are seeing some charges being tossed around with some real teeth to them – identity theft with regards to misuse of domain names.

In the end, all of this is fine and well. And granted, this sends a very clear message to spammers still operating from within U.S. borders. But what is to be done with those using the same tactics, but living outside of U.S. jurisdiction? Exactly, not a whole heck of a lot at this point. But hey, nailing this turkey is still a good place to start, right?
