In the July 23, 2007 edition of Newsweek, Anna Quindlen send Senator Clinton a proposal. Her idea is about who should be Ms Clinton’s Vice President choice in the coming election:
“…Now it’s time to show that you have a sense of history, a sense that this election is bigger than just one woman’s ambitions. Make it your business to persuade Barack Obama to be your running mate.”

As I read Ms Quindlen’s article, I thought that Molly Ivins would have been delighted at the idea. The present political situation and the forthcoming election would have had Ms Ivins filing reams of articles. And I think Ms Ivins would have read the Quindlen article, smiled and let out a boisterous ‘whooop!!!’.
