Objects within a specific document or presentation will have their own typeface, color, and font size. When you copy objects with different formatting into your own slides, PowerPoint will automatically copy the object with its original typeface, color, and font size. However, you likely want the new object to match the formatting in slide that you are pasting it into to. This is where the Paste Special function comes into play.

Once you copy the object or slide, open the destination slide. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow under Paste and click Paste Special.
