Whether you admit it or not, most of us use Wikipedia to do research from time to time. It may not be the most accurate resource around, but it sure does contain a lot of information, and in certain situations, content is more important than precise accuracy. If you’re like me, then you probably use Wikipedia to find information about various people, and while this works well for most “famous” people, it’s not usually going to work if you’re trying to find information about a normal person. WikiYou exists to try to solve this issue.

It may not be Wikipedia, but WikiYou gives all of us the opportunity to have our own wiki profile that’s a part of their community. Add yourself, add friends, network, and throw in your two cents on the profiles of other people. You’ll notice that a collection of famous people are listed on the home page in an attempt to try and generate some public interest in the service, but feel free to ignore them and just add stories and comments to the profiles of other people that you know.
