When you build a Web site or a Web service, it can be easy to assume that everyone visiting your creation will be able to easily figure it out and use it like you intended. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case. What makes sense to you isn’t necessarily going to make sense to everyone else. Because of this, it’s always helpful to have functionality in place that can walk people through what you’ve created, and I’ve learned this from firsthand experience. I’ve had to walk people through things online a countless number of times, and instead of having to do that after the fact, it probably would have been a better idea to use something like Demofuse right off the bat.

We’ve all seen these interactive Web tours before, but with Demofuse, now you can create them. To get an idea of what can be created, check out the sample tour. A free option exists for those of you who just want to get your feet wet, but it should prove to be adequate. There’s no software to download, and the integration is as seamless as can be, so go ahead and give it a try. Your visitors will thank you for it.
