Brigadier General Jeffrey Dorko was wounded on Monday in Baghdad. In a news report from Fox News, it seems that Brigadier General Dorko was given protection by private security:

“…Dorko was traveling Monday morning with a private security team belonging to Erinys International when the attack occurred in northern Baghdad.”

Is the U.S. military now relying on private contractors to protect its commanding officers? One would think that the U.S. military would have the personnel and the expertise to supply security for its own top echelon officers. Apparently this is not the case – it is contracted to a private firm.
