This is something I came across while hunting for something else, so I have not tried it myself, since I have little need for creating web pages. I do most of my work in C++, Windows, Gnome, wxWidgets using open source environments like Ultimate ++. But I digress this application claims to rival FrontPage and Dreamweaver, but since I have no experience with either I can certainly not be a good judge. This app is so well known that while searching for information about this application I immediately found two tutorials here and here. Nvu is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Web page designer, that has integrated FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to send pages to your web site. So if your web site does not provide FTP access then this application will only make it easy to create the web pages on your system. Then you will have to figure out how to transfer the files to your web site provider, but I am very sure that this is a very remote problem. The web page has a languages list that my Firefox is not able to render correctly so my guess, and the localizations confirm that Nvu is also compatible with many many languages.
As always, if you use this application please send some honorific, money or other payment to the developers for their hard work.
