Hi, there! I haven’t been here for a while, but I’ve been watching the YouTube videos. Hope the Pirillo family had a great Christmas and has a happy new year!

My general top 5 tips, recommendations, and things to take note of when buying PS3 games:

Assassin’s Creed Resolution Downside

This may only apply to the UK, but I discovered through playing my mate’s game (I don’t have a PS3, yet) that the graphics quality was not as sharp as I thought or as smooth as, say, Heavenly Sword. I found out that PS3 version has only 750 resolution, but the 360 has 750 and higher option for some reason.

This game lives up to the hype, but the resolution does not!

New Releases

If you want mind-blowing quality from a PS3 game, then look no further than Uncharted: Drake’s Adventure. It has the best facial details I have ever seen so far (I like small details in games) and the overall game, even though it’s in the Tomb Raider / Indiana Jones style, is the best looking to date and combines great element game play and environments.

Get Resistance: Fall Of Man

Although this was a console date release, this game is awesome, big, and one of the best games you will ever play. The sequel is coming out winter 2008. GET IT!

Best Army Game

A lot of people are raving about this and now I see why. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare won several awards in Europe for amazing detail and sound effects. I wasn’t a great fan of this genre of games, but since I’ve played this, Resistance, and Medal of Honor, I’m hooked.

Check Out Demos First

If you’re not sure about certain games, either get a PS3 magazine or download them because this is the best way to check out the quality. They may say at the beginning something like “this is not the finished product,” but a lot of the time they mostly are.
