Are you stuck for an idea on a piece of music? Or do you want to mix online without having to pay for software or going throught trial softwares which just clogs up your hard drive and isn’t up to standards for your needs? There are two brilliant sites which will allow you to mix music, play many different instruments online, enable you to create new music, save it online for all to here and allow you to play up to five chord sequences in different orders and tempos.

I will start with www.jamstudio.com. This is an absoloutely fantastic website where all of the above can be carried out. All you need to do, is get mixing. Select your instrument from a large selection, select the notes and the chords (or just have a bit fiddle on with it), experiment with it, register an account, save it and share it with the world. Their slogan is The Online Music Factory and this online experince is of a very high standard.

The second website I want to talk about is www.jamglue.com. This is another brilliant website where you can mix your music tracks and they have a huge library of pre-recorded music that can be used to create your own tracks, or just to simple mix and play around with. You need Flash 8 or higher to use this and it is slightly more advanced than jamstudio.com. It has a large community from what I can see and the layout is highly professional and hardly complex.

Two very good websites that I very much recommend. If you have used any of these sites or a similar site which you view as better or of good quality please leave it in a comment to this blogpost and a further blogpost to this may be created with some of your favourite links. Feel free also to leave your opinions and reviews on the blog in the form of a comment.
