If you create your own charts in Word, you may want to save them as a chart template so you can reuse them later. When you want to re-use one of your charts, you simply need to apply the chart template, instead of having to re-create the chart.
To save a chart as a chart template in Word 2007:
- Open your document containing the appropriate chart.
- Click the chart that you want to save as a template.
- On the Design tab, in the Type group, click Save Template.
- In the Save in box, make sure that the Charts folder is selected.
- In the File name box, type an appropriate name for the chart template.
