It’s a full house. Even the balconies are filled to capacity. Tonight’s repertoire includes the 1812 Overture, and you’re first cannon. Get ready to play; the curtains are about to open.

In today’s game, Final Fortress, you’re put in charge of the WTDX 4424 Cannon. WTDX. Sounds like a radio station, doesn’t it? “WTDX, Bam! The future of rock ‘n’ roll.” Well. It’s not. It’s a cannon. And your job is to fire projectiles from said cannon at approaching enemy soldiers and vehicles. This will be a long and exhausting war as wave after wave of enemies will attempt to destroy your cannon. However, as you survive battles, you will have accumulated cash to repair your cannon or to buy new weapons. Different types of mines, missile launchers, and power plants are available to reinforce your defensive line.

Final Fortress is a solid, great looking game. We were impressed with the designers’ attention to detail in creating their wonderful graphics. The gameplay is true arcade entertainment and being able to add defensive armaments makes the game that much better.
