In previous tips, I’ve showed you how to insert special symbols onto a Microsoft Word document. A Lockergnome reader recently submitted a question about how to insert a copyright symbol into a Word document. If AutoCorrect is turned on in Word, all you have to do is type (c) and Word will automatically change the three characters to a copyright symbol in your document.
If AutoCorrect is turned off in Microsoft Word, you can simply press Ctrl+Alt+C on your keyboard. Or, if you want to use your mouse, follow these steps to add a copyright symbol to your Word document:
- From the Insert menu, click Symbol.
- Select the Special Characters tab.
- From the list of characters, click Copyright.
- Click OK.
