You could say I had a busy week.  I hit a Seattle Mariner’s game Monday evening, watching the M’s reverse a 5 run deficit to beat the Twins 11 to 6. I then hit the road early Tuesday morning to make it to OMS Portland at the Oregon Zoo. On Thursday, the Anvil team spent a half-day on the Columbia River living the Dream Life, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, inner-tubing and on waverunners. On Friday, Anvil team member Leisa celebrated her birthday (and The Olympics opening ceremonies) with a dive bar bus tour. Members of the Anvil team joined a gaggle of Leisa’s closest friends to tour a handful of Portland’s finest dive bars, all while wearing Olympic-themed garb. Check out pictures from the Dream Life field trip and Olympic dive bar bus tour in Anvil’s Picasa photo gallery. After a brief but productive Team Foul Balls softball practice, the Lewis family and other Anvil team members headed to The Pearl District for SMART Gala V.  While I invested significant funds in raffle tickets, I was not a winner.  I did walk away with a weekend of art & culture in Tacoma, which includes a night at Hotel Murano, tickets to the Tacoma Museum of Glass, gas card and nanny for an evening. More impressive, however, was the fact that my dad & mom walked away with 4 of the raffle items between the 2 of them. I swear it wasn’t rigged, it was karma, as my dad had written a modest donation check to SMART prior to the event. My calendar is a little less hectic in the next few weeks, although I will be accepting a check at next Friday’s Portland Beaver’s game on behalf of SMART.  Hope to see you there!
