Legislation in the United Kingdom will create data bases of phone calls and e-mail:
“…Plans to collect more data on people’s phone, e-mail and web-browsing habits are expected to be included in the Communications Data Bill, due to be introduced in the Queen’s Speech in November.”

The ever pervasive reason for this surveillance and data bases is security. Security trumps privacy and trumps the presumption of innocence. And fear means that civil liberties in the United Kingdom are quickly vanishing. Every citizen will be monitored. It will be the law of the land.
