Best Buy appears to be going to have quite a Black Friday sale day, but their pricing is not super. The pricing appears to be in line with what others are already offering. As an example, both Best Buy and KMart are  offering the Samsung 42″ Plasma HDTV 720p at $699. KMart offers the TV starting on Thanksgiving Day so there is no need to get up at the crack of dawn. Also as I have previously mentioned, Sears is going to have the Panasonic 42″ Plasma HDTV 720p also for $699 on Black Friday.

So are all of these same pricing schemes mean that the HDTV’s being offered are all the same? The main difference is if you want to get an extended warranty, which it appears that Best Buy has the best to offer. They have a 4 year protection plan for $199. Sears offers a 3 year protection plan for $299. I’m not sure what KMart offers, but be careful.

Companies like Wal-Mart offer a 2 year protection plan for only $59, but you have to being the TV to them. There is no in home service. I would suggest that you read any protection plan carefully.

Oh. The Best Buy ad appears to have been taken with a camera, possibly a cell phone, so the print is hard to read. 🙁

Comments welcome.

PS I’m looking for a Circuit City ad for Black Friday. If you have seen one, let me know. TIA
