I’ve come to the conclusion that Adobe Flash has absolutely no business even being used on the Internet. The software is just too slow and sucky to be used anymore. Since Adobe bought Macromedia, it’s only gotten worse.

I have a problem with 2 of my PC’s. Both are really speedy with high end video cards.  I have a very high speed cable connection. No matter what browser I use, or which flash application I use, or web site I’m on, it’s choppy and slow. Video, games, even ads load slow and slow my whole computing experience down. If you search the web for “flash is slow” you’ll see a bunch of other people with speedy computer, Mac, PC and Linux experiencing the exact same issues with no rhyme or reason.

Believe me, I’ve tried everything to solve this issue:

  • Uninstalled all versions of Flash
  • Cleaned registry of all references to Macromedia Flash and Adobe Flash
  • Reinstalled Flash
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled all of my browsers
  • Upgraded the latest drivers for all of my hardware
  • Disabled all background applications
  • Played with the settings when you right click on a Flash movie

After trying all of this without a resolution, I have come to the conclusion that Flash is just sucky software. I’m done. It’s uninstalled. Gone! I don’t care that much of the web uses Flash and I don’t care about the games I could play. It sucks! Adobe is getting away with giving us slow and crappy software. This software should’ve been banished long ago. This opinion is even more supported with the way Internet ads are being created these days. I’m done with you Flash. Find somebody else to wait all day for you while you load.
