Have you ever been in the right place at the wrong time? I began producing car reviews roughly one year ago, on a wing and a prayer. While I could have never predicted the events of the past twelve months, I’ve kept my resolve and held true to my goals. When I started out, I sought to create video car reviews in a way that had never been done before. With no experience, equipment, or connections, I had more than a mere learning curve to conquer.
All I had was a will and a vision.
I sought to cover the cutting edge, focusing on not just hybrid car reviews, but also on the new wave of clean diesels that have finally reached our shores. A year ago, folks would ask me why I would want to spend so much time and effort on diesel car reviews. But I knew then what I know now … the transportation revolution will not happen with one technology alone.
Too often, consumer car reviews fall far short, because of comprimises made by a conventional publication or the whims of the reviewer. I set out to deliver facts, in a hybrid video and text format, that would do away with frilly words, platform prejudice, and publishers entanglements.
And the focus remained clear: gas mileage is paramount.
I feel blessed to be where I am, when I am, no matter how difficult the day-to-day may be. Producing new car reviews – in the manner in which I have chosen – would have been a dream for me as a teenager. Today, with teenagers of my own, it is my reality. I only hope that my work, in spreading the truth, helps leave this world a better place.
