Inspiration is an intriguing topic. What works for one, might not work for many. The trick is to find what works for you. When I wrote last week about a technique I use to break writers block, it felt great to share something I learned decades back … one of those small nuggets I retained from college.

I wanted to share another technique I’ve recently made part of my morning routine to help get my brain in tune. It’s a quick daily newsletter that brings an inspiring quote to my inbox each day, along with an entertaining fact and an interesting article. I’ve known the list owners, Audri and Jim Lanford for years now … but didn’t know about their Famous Quotes and Quotations newsletter until earlier this month.

In just a short time, I’ve found that my friends’ newsletter lives up to its billing of 12 seconds of daily inspiration … a quick read and a moment to ponder the thoughts help me start the day right.
