netbookIf people are insane enough to prefer an OS from 2001, that is known not to be as secure as Vista or Win 7, that has countless ways to see it exploited by those who wish to steal your information, more power to them.

Hate Linux, awesome – keep up the good fight with that. But for the love of Pete, find a way NOT to use the malware magnet that is XP for a form-factor designed to be almost exclusively for Internet usage! As far as I am concerned, knowing that most XP using netbooks users will be kids and adults who do not know a browser from an email client, I shudder at the thought of these people installing everything is sight because they see it offered for “free”. Malware, anyone?

Windows 7, despite not being my taste, will at least not be the landmine field that XP was from a security stand-point. But once again, Microsoft could care less about their users it seems. So let’s promote XP rather than Linux just in case it takes awhile for Windows 7 to take hold….unbelievable. Even more unbelievable that people are going to sign-on for this – it’s a netbook, folks! Browser, email and maybe some blogging – why do you need Windows XP over Linux for this outside of complete ignorance? Seriously, I want to understand what drives someone to put their data at risk over something so superficial?
