As many of you already know, Twitter spam is nothing new. It’s been around for some time; most of us have had to deal with it to some extent or another. But now it appears that, this time, we are also beginning to see it in Twitter games, as well. Great.
To be completely clear, it is not really the game doing the spamming. No, it is people who are being encouraged with prizes for tweeting relentlessly about the game that are, to a degree, doing the spamming. But even so, it is still a frustration when a game is encouraging people to try this kind of behavior in the first place.
Frankly, until Twitter is able to get some better management tools for handling spam, such as hash tags management, being bombed with crap tweets appears to be a problem that is not showing much in the way of letting up. Sure, you can protect your updates and block individual users, but this is simply not helping.
