There should be an image here!Sometimes Apple just confuses me. I mean, with the company taking the stance on netbooks that they are essentially junk in their eyes, how does it now make complete sense to provide a cut-rate version of the iPhone?

To me, this feels like Apple is taking on a position of double standards. if it’s their device, then cutting it down in quality and price is just fine. But no way is adopting a technology that they did not think of first something that should be considered…no, that would be adopting crappy hardware!

Clearly based on the fact that existing $199 iPhones are subsidized via AT&T, it would mean indeed resorting to lesser hardware for the phone which according to Apple initial argument against netbooks, would mean potentially selling a piece of junk. Do we really want this?
