Greetings fellow Lockergnomers! It’s been a while since I’ve actually written anything. Well, this post marks the first post of “Destiny in Technology.” That’s right, “Swordofdestiny’s Idiocracies” is no more. The posts are still there, but from henceforth this is now “Destiny in Technology.” Anyways, onto business. I am fixing to go into my second year of being a Jazz Studies (Music) Major at the University of Texas at Arlington. I’ve always loved music and earlier this year I purchased my own copy of FL Studio 8 XXL Edition. I’ve been kind of playing around with it. I like the program and I think it’s a good program. Then again, I haven’t had any experience with Pro Tools, but I’m taking a class this fall that uses it. Hopefully, by then I’ll have found which I like better.
The song I’ve done a dance remix for is “Canon in D Major” by Johanne Pachelbel. I was inspired to make it when I noticed that Dragonforce has an obsession with the progression used by Pachelbel’s Canon. It made me remember Rob Paravonian’s Pachelbel Rant. I decided, “You know, I should make a dance remix of it.” So, I did. It actually took less time than some of my previous projects. I’d like some feedback on it. I hope you like it because I enjoyed making it.
