Windows 7 includes a real nugget when it comes to troubleshooting. Using the Problem Steps Recorder, if an application starts misbehaving, you can record the problem as it occurs. The Problem Steps Recorder will capture mouse clicks, keystrokes, take screen shots and package the information into a zipped file that can be sent to your computer technician. From there, your computer help desk can analyze the problem steps file to figure out what went wrong and advise you how to solve your computer problem.
To launch the Problem Steps Recorder:
- Click Start, type PSR and press Enter.
- Click Start Record.Aside from emailing the zipped file to your technician, that’s all you need to do.
