For years, I found myself defending the photo editor known as GIMP simply because it was different at some level. As absurd as this will seem to most Linux users, this comparison to Photoshop has been an issue for quite some time.
Well some of the mystique that has kept many users away from GIMP looks to be in a potion to bring on some stronger choices. Finally, we will see the option of adding in either a single panel or simply going with multiple panels as per normal when using GIMP software.
The idea of using single or multiple windows comes down to basically allowing the end user to make a choice themselves, with the option of tearing off your docks as you see fit. I love this because there is no absolutism here whatsoever. Fantastic!
