Perhaps the prices will not be as low as those found on their products at Newegg, but the selection will be much better.
There has been a trend in the past 6 to 8 months for Newegg to carry fewer and fewer of the Arctic Cooling products, especially the CPU coolers, which work very well, and are a great bang for the buck. If you have an AMD product of recent vintage, it’s hard to beat the Freezer 64 Pro, which sells for about $27. That may be the problem; not enough margin.
But Arctic has many coolers, fans, and power supplies, all of them using advanced techniques to get the job done, and quality materials. So perhaps the store will flourish, because quality always sells. All of their fans are reasonably priced, even at retail, and feature the best warranty in the business at 6 years.
(unsolicited and unpaid endorsement) In several of my own computer cases, the AC 9F fans have been used and have shown 3 to 5 degree drops in case temperatures, with no other changes. That’s quite a difference for a single 92mm fan, in a mid-tower case. It made the difference between acceptable and unacceptable temperatures in a harsh environment without air conditioning in the California desert. Also, I must mention that these fan designs are quiet! (These were all used in Apex TU-163 cases, a personal favorite of mine for builds.)
from TechConnect
Providing better access to it products, Swiss company Arctic Cooling has today introduced its very own web store. Available here, the shop caters to customers worldwide 24/7, makes use of 256-bit SSL-connections to keep purchases secure, and offers pretty much everything in Arctic Cooling’s portfolio – coolers, fans, power supplies, cases and accessories.
The AC Webshop also guarantees that orders will be handled within two working days so be sure to check it out if you’re out shopping for some cool new hardware.
It would be nice to see the web store do well, and possibly drive the discounters like Newegg to again beef up the supplies of the AC products, so that once again we, as customers, can get the best of both worlds.
