We all knew it had to happen. In order for the masses to dump their DVD players in favor of Blu-ray, prices had to drop. Best Buy has their own store brand Insignia Blu-ray player for the sweet price of just $99.99. But it gets even better since this player can also stream movies from Netflix. On its Web site, Best Buy claims the following specs and information:

This Blu-ray Disc player supports 1080p output and BD-Live content along with NetFlix streaming to bring your movies to life.

Get access to great Instant Content on your HDTV through this Blu-ray player. Connect to the Internet and you will have instant access to stream movies, listen to music and a wide variety of content through your HDTV.

Check out the reviews and see what you think. My only concern is that this unit needs to be hard wired. Best Buy has a similar wireless unit but it sells for $199.99. This makes one wonder if we will be seeing inexpensive Blu-ray players in the under $50 price this coming Black Friday?
