If Xbox Live had labeled one or maybe even two of these words as something to be flagged, I could see it. But apparently Xbox Live fears anyone speaking about the evils of Linux, Unix, or even Unix with the letters spaced out. Yes, I am completely serious.
After reading into the matter a bit further, I discovered that the issue that has Xbox Live flagging these things is, apparently, due to copyright. Yes, even though it is technically conversation taking place over the chat service, there are trademarks and copyrights at work here.
I guess, in the end, even the mighty Microsoft fears being sued for something stupid like allowing its gamers to use words in a text format that might potentially get the Redmond giant sued. Who would have thought it possible [sarcasm]?
