It is hard to believe that it has been almost 4 months [minus a few days] since Microsoft released Windows 7 RTM for those with MSDN or Technet subscriptions. Having a subscription to Technet has allowed me the opportunity to try all versions of Windows 7 including Starter, Basic, Home, Professional and Ultimate. I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate on three of my home based computers and will be installing Basic on an older laptop computer.

So let me share my personal experience with the new operating system. I am a convert and have been enjoying the new operating system. I have also installed Microsoft Office 2007 on all of my systems and have been enjoying it as well. I must say that all of the changes in both Windows 7 and Office 2007, took some time to learn, but once I did I have noticed an improvement in the feel for both products. When I say I had to relearn both the OS and Office I should mention that neither required anything complex. It basically was stuff in a different location.

Aesthetically both Windows 7 and Office 2007 are very pretty. I know, I know. Being pretty doesn’t accomplish anything as far as work in concerned but none the less it is eye pleasing when you spend a lot of time on a computer system. As I have stated before it is the ‘feel’ of a system that to me is most important. This is where Windows 7 and Office 2007 both shine. I love the feel of both.

But what about you? What has your experience been using Windows 7?

What do you like or dislike about the new OS ?

Comments welcome.
